Terms of use

A careful way to test ClaimDoula.

These terms define the private alpha, your responsibilities, and the limits of the information ClaimDoula provides.

Effective August 15, 2026 · Version 2026-08-15

Acceptance and eligibility

By creating or using a ClaimDoula account, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. The private alpha is invitation-only and intended for adults in the United States. If you do not agree, do not create an account or connect insurance information.

The alpha service

ClaimDoula connects to insurance information you authorize, preserves the available evidence, organizes claims, and explains how the available records were processed. The alpha may contain errors, be incomplete, change without notice, or stop working. Features or stored test data may be added, removed, repaired, or reset while the service is being evaluated.

An approved insurer connection does not guarantee that the insurer makes every plan, person, historical period, claim type, or money field available through its API. ClaimDoula labels documented limitations and does not silently invent missing records.

Verify important information

ClaimDoula provides informational help, not medical, legal, tax, financial, or insurance advice. An explanation of benefits is not necessarily a current provider bill. Before paying a bill, missing a deadline, changing coverage, filing an appeal, or relying on a recommendation, verify the information with the insurer, provider, employer, plan administrator, or another qualified professional.

ClaimDoula is not an emergency service. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service when immediate help is needed.

Your account and authority

  • Use your own account and keep it secure.
  • Connect only records you are legally authorized to access.
  • Do not share another person’s information unless you have their permission or legal authority to act for them.
  • Household members must use separate identities rather than sharing a password.
  • Keep your contact information current and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Insurer connections

You direct each insurer authorization. ClaimDoula may use refresh authorization to keep information current until you disconnect, the insurer expires or revokes access, or the connection stops working. You can disconnect ClaimDoula without deleting previously verified claims, and you may separately revoke ClaimDoula through the insurer’s connected-app settings.

ClaimDoula does not ask you to send an insurer password. Direct Connect sign-in occurs at the insurer. Browser Connect keeps insurer credentials and its dedicated browser session on your enrolled computer.

Responsible use

Do not access another person’s account without authority, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, probe security without written permission, introduce malicious code, misuse insurer APIs, misrepresent your identity, or use ClaimDoula for unlawful activity. We may suspend or terminate access to protect participants, comply with law, investigate a problem, or operate the alpha safely.

Third-party services

ClaimDoula depends on insurers and service providers for authentication, hosting, storage, security, and other essential functions. Their services may be unavailable or governed by separate terms. ClaimDoula is not endorsed by an insurer merely because it has been approved to connect to an insurer API.

Availability and limits

The alpha is provided as available and without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular decision. To the extent permitted by applicable law, ClaimDoula is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by reliance on incomplete insurer records, third-party outages, or alpha defects. Nothing in these terms waives rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived.

Changes, termination, and contact

You may stop using the alpha, disconnect insurers, or request account deletion at any time. We may change or end the alpha. If these terms materially change, we will provide the updated version before asking alpha users to continue under it.
